You’re cordially invited to the Royal Wedding Pyjama Part-ay!

Because Three Li’l Princesses is made up of, well, “princesses’’ and we have our own online Palace, we’re throwing a Royal Wedding Pyjama Party tonight from 7pm.

It’s a chance for those princesses and queens who can’t go to the `actual’ wedding party for Kate and Wills to have a wine and gossip in our gowns (ah, dressing gowns) and slippers (just so you know, we’re not talking Cinderella slippers, either) as we watch the real thing on tellie. No makeup or up-dos required.

You can pop in and out of the party throughout the night (no pass out stamp required). For Royals tragics, there’s the option to join as a panellist and spread your Royal knowledge. Just let me know prior to the night so I can shoot you an email with the panellist details. My email is kellie (at) threelilprincesses (dot) com.

I’m hoping it’ll be a chance for bloggers and non-bloggers to “meet’’ some new friends! Because that’s what happens when you go to weddings, right?

What are you like in social situations? Do you hide in the corner hoping someone will approach you or are you the life of the party?

PS. For bloggers, Three Li’l Princesses is hosting a Royal Wedding meme today. Just write a post about your wedding day (or how you’re planning for your upcoming big day) and link it up once the meme’s live.

OK, I thought I’d answer a few questions that are coming through on the email.

    What is a panellist?
Anybody can “chat” and pop in and out during the night, but their comments must be moderated first before they go live (which I’ll do). As a panellist, your comments go up without moderation. The aim of a panellist is to contribute during the night with observations and help to answer questions people pose (especially because I’m no expert). I’ll also be able to communicate internally with you, without it going up on the site. For eg, “Can I get you to respond to that question about why Will looks like he’s wearing a wig?” etc. The whole aim is to have a bit of fun and a laugh! The only way to be a panellist is through a link I’ll send via email.

    What will be involved?
Chatting, gossiping and dishing out our opinions on some of the rather over the top fashions (or how beige and boring they are). Also, I’ll throw in some fun polls to vote on, photos you might want to show off from your own wedding or hens night (keep ’em clean, laides) and even some links from our wedding stories meme from that morning.

Where do people go to be part of it?
Most likely tomorrow night, I’ll have the link up on the site, which will basically show a countdown to the event going live. I’ll post that link here and on Facebook and Twitter once it’s up.

I’m looking forward to a good laugh and “meeting” some new people. 🙂

Oh, this is going to be way too much fun!!
Clapping my hands and jumping up and down little a little princess already! 😉

    • Kel says:

Hehe!! So glad to be finding others out there who are as excited about the big wedding! These sorts of events don’t come around every day, so we may as well make a big deal of them!! 😉

  3. Glowless says:

Sounds brilliant, but I’ll be out for the night at a Royal Wedding dinner party (with a dress code!!!). Would have loved to have been involved, will put up a link within FYBF post.

    • Kel says:

Oh, lucky you, Glowless!! We’ll have a transcript of the party once it’s closed, so anyone can come back and have a laugh!!! We’re getting quite a bit of interest now, so should be a great night! I want to hear full details of your night too. 🙂
Thanks so much for offering to put up a link within FYBF post. That’s really nice of you! xx

    Dearest Princesses
I regret to inform you I will not be able to attend your extravaganza. My Miss 15 plays hockey on a Friday night ,but rest assure I will be wearing my tiara as I support her playing in the middle of nowhere on some cold field.
May you have the most delightful and joyous evening celebrating the nuptials.
    I curtsey to you princesses
    Nx

    • Kel says:

Hehe!! Never mind, Nathalie. If we’re still going when you arrive home, feel free to pop in!!
Glad to hear you’ll be wearing your tiara too. No hockey match will be complete without it tomorrow!! 😉

  5. Becky says:

Brilliant idea! Looking forward to joining in!

  6. Maxabella says:

Very cute idea! I’m attending an actual event (not THE event, but an actual event) but I will pop in when I can! x

    • Kel says:

      Hehe! Thanks!
And lucky you, Maxabella! It would be nice to dress up and get out of the house, but I”ll have to settle for the dressing gown and my little party!! 😉
Hopefully we hear from you during the night. xx

  7. Naomi Ellis says:

Great idea and I am hoping that I can drop on in. Love meeting new bloggers 🙂

  8. Tat says:

I’ll drop in if I manage to get my kids to bed by then…. which is a challenge!

    • Kel says:

Sure thing, Tat. My fingers are crossed my two girls are in bed and asleep by 7pm!!! We’ll be going all night, so just see how you go! 🙂

  9. felicakes says:

owh yeah baby! I am so in. I am not sure how I am going to do this. I might charge up the ipad and party through there.

    hehehehe…..

    • Kel says:

Can’t wait, Feli. Once it goes live at 7pm AEST, just click the “play” symbol and you can start watching the conversation and, of course, jumping in and chatting too! Look forward to a good gossip!!! 😉
