Baby Holly sitting up like a big girl!

This week I’m grateful for:

  • Marrying the right man. Not only is he attached to royalty (he’s Prince William’s 13th cousin – thankfully on the Spencer side. I shudder to think what our children would have looked like with those ears!), but he made me cry this week with a post called For the love of a mother. All together now…. awwwwwww!
  • Air kisses. Three-year-old Ella HAD to have a bit of lippy on for childcare. As I went to kiss her goodbye before she walked out the door with her Dad, she said: “I can’t kiss you, Mum. I’ve got lipstick on’’, then proceeded to blow me a kiss, smile and turned on her heels to leave.
  • Baby Holly mastering her next skill: sitting. Then falling down. And sitting up. And falling down again. Another milestone passes us by. (Oh, why does it all go so quickly?).

I’m joining with Maxabella Loves to share what I’m grateful for. What are you grateful for this week?

    • Kel says:

Thanks Jill! Yes, if only we’d received an invite to the big wedding! Maybe I’ll get invited to the baby shower! LOL! 🙂

  2. Jodie Ansted says:

Oh, boy….they *do* grow up so quickly!

I remember piling up all the cushions around my 3rd son, and he’d pick the gap every time when falling back!

By the third son, I’d got my act together and bought a cushion shaped like a cow, so he could sit in between the legs, and didn’t go anywhere. Finally!

Off to read your Hubby’s post now. 🙂

    • Kel says:

So true, Jodie! She’ll be asking for the car keys sooner than I realise!!! 🙂
The cow-shaped cushion sounds like a great idea. We’re persevering with two cushions and a bed pillow at the moment! Sometimes I get a bit overconfident and think “oh, she doesn’t need it”, then the poor thing comes toppling down!

  3. Mandy says:

it’s so exciting when they reach a new milestone.

  4. She is so cute! sitting now then comes crawling? hmmm its nice when they stay in the one spot for a while 🙂

    • Kel says:

Thanks Courtney. She’s able to pull and wriggle her way around the room a bit already, so I’m guessing crawling isn’t too far away. And then the real fun begins… 😉

  5. Jane says:

Some very cute reasons to be grateful this week! Sounds like you have such a beautiful family – and how exciting that you’re pretty much a ROYAL! That means you were closer than the rest of us to scoring an invite to last week’s wedding 😉

    Have a lovely weekend xxx

    • Kel says:

Oh, thanks so much, Jane. They are all pretty special to me!
Yes, I’m betting that invite got lost in the post. Never mind…. LOL!

  6. Awww look at that gorgeous sitting up baby! She is delicious!

And what a fabuloud and loving hubby <3

    • Kel says:

Delicious indeed!! hehe!! She gets smothered in kisses and cuddles – and not just from me! Her sister can’t get enough of her too! 🙂

  7. jodie says:

Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow. Hope you get many more air kisses. x

  8. Renee says:

Oh – you’re practically ROYALTY darling! Haha – score on the husband front! I bet he dropped that into his pick up line 😉

I also have a 3 year old little girl – don’t they come out with the funniest little things?! I have to try not to laugh sometimes!

And your little girl is so so cute!

    Happy Mothers Day for tomorrow!

    • Kel says:

LOL!! Strangely Renee, he only found out the day before the Royal Wedding (from his family tree-obsessed brother)! I’m sure he would have made good use of it though if he had have known earlier!!! hehe!!
And yes, three-year-old girls have the most wildest imaginations! And talk too much… LOL!
Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day too!

  9. Melissa says:

Awww….I just read his post. It’s gorgeous! I’m new to your blog, stumbled over from Maxabella’s. Sounds like you have a lot to be grateful for. 🙂

  10. Shelley says:

Air kisses, how precious. My Miss A discovered how to blow kisses today – well, the first part of covering her mouth and making the sound anyway. Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow. Surely there’s a royal title in there for you and your hubby somewhere? 🙂

    • Kel says:

Oh, how cute! They’re not quite as good as real kisses, but they come a close second!! hehe!!
And yes, have to figure out a nice Royal title for ourselves….. LOL!
A big Happy Mother’s Day to you too!

  11. Seana says:

I hope you had a fantastic Mothers Day! I love the photo of Holly, how proud of herself does she look! I loved the post from the Shed – I think you have a keeper there. Cute lipstick story too 🙂

    • Kel says:

Thank Tracy. Yes, just finished writing up my Mother’s Day post for tomorrow. Had an absolutely fab day. Hope yours was the same!
Tomorrow we move on from lipstick to tiaras and earrings!!! 😉

  16. Tat says:

Love the lipstick line. They learn early, don’t they? And it looks like you and your husband are having an affair on your blog. I hope you are getting some time to yourselves in real life, too 😉 Happy Mother’s Day!

    • Kel says:

LOL!! A digital affair, yes! We occassionally speak in real life. But only occassionally! LOL!! 😉
Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day too, Tat! x
