WE ALL know the story of the princess and the pea. Well, Baby Holly doesn’t sleep on peas (unless you count having a wet nappy), but she can certainly sniff one out as soon as it hits boiling water. And the carrots and potatoes and anything else she’s able to get her hands on. She loves her food.

    Aww! She’s too cute 🙂

    • Kel says:

Thanks Missy Boo. Had to tidy up the face just a bit before taking the photo. She’s a rather messy eater!! hehe! 🙂

  2. Grace says:

Awwww, bless ! Too cute ! And so great that she’s not a fussy eater 😀
    Happy WW x

    • Kel says:

Yes, I’ve been blessed in that department. Both girls are (so far) great little eaters. Take after their father, I think!! LOL! 🙂

  3. She is SO adorable, Kel.
My boy loves his food, too. Whatever he can get his hands on, especially beans and pasta.

    • Kel says:

That’s fantastic, Becky. Makes life so much easier when they’re happy to consume anything healthy without a fuss. Fingers crossed for you that your little man stays that way! 🙂

  4. Mandy says:

my daughter is fascinated by the princess and the pea. lucky for me she loves her food too.

    • Kel says:

I’ve introduced Ella to the Princess and the Pea via a few different books and she loves it too. Such a great story. And glad you have a good eater as well, Mandy. Makes meal times lots of fun!! 🙂

  5. Tat says:

    Keep on eating those peas!

    • Kel says:

I think most of them end up on the floor or in the highchair, but she has a good go at getting them in her mouth. Her pincers arev getting better at picking up food now. Thank goodness!! 😉

  6. Nay says:

Leilah loves her peas and carrots too. When she was younger she would eat anything but the last few weeks she has gotten terribly fussy!

    Enjoy this moment 🙂

    • Kel says:

Oh Nay, we’ve been there with Ella a few times. What we’ve discovered is it seems to go in stages. She’ll have a week or two of not wanting to eat anything (except snacks), and then just like that she’s back to eating normally again. Quite a few parents have mentioned the same thing to us. So we now just offer her the food during the fussy stages and if she doesn’t eat it, we don’t stress too much in fear of making her permanently fussy. Best of luck with Leilah. xx

  7. Great photo! My babygirl loves her food too, much more so than her sibs did when they were little 🙂

    • Kel says:

Thanks Kate! Holly is happiest when she’s feeding herself, which means lots of mess. But as long as she’s eating, I’m OK with that!! 😉

  8. I will say it again Kel she is so cute!! I love chubby cheeks (I don’t pinch them grandma style) just like to give them a kiss. My princesses have chubby cheeks too. Just wish my eldest princess would eat lots of different food. Maybe the new princess will.

    • Kel says:

Oh yes, and chubby cheeks she has!! I’m sure she gets sick of me smothering her in kisses all the time. Not to mention her “big sister”! She’s now starting to try and kiss back, which is super cute!
Fingers crossed with the new princess being a good li’l eater! xx

  9. What gorgeous eyes, lucky you! My Moo (3) will only eat yoghurt and rice… and ive tried everything! Happy WW xx

    • Kel says:

They are beautiful, aren’t they? (OK, so I’m biased!! hehe).
At least she’s eating yoghurt and rice. That’s better than a lot of other options. Fingers crossed for you she improves as she gets older. xx

  10. Lulu says:

Oh I was just advised today to start my younger one on solids within 4-6 weeks (He is almost 6 months old now but came 2 months early) so he will be 7 or 7.5 months old but obviously still under 6 months adjusted- I was hoping I could wait longer! My older one makes enough mess as it is!!!

Still, very cute! Good thing she likes her greens huh?

    • Kel says:

Lulu, it’s such a hard decision to make. Ella was right on six months when we started solids – to the day. Baby Holly has been different. She wasn’t sleeping very well and we were advised to start her early. I think it was about five months. The child health nurses have changed their stance on when babies should start solids now and are saying that a lot of the sleep problems are coming from babies needing more than just milk to fill up their tummies. But, ultimately, it comes back to what you’re comfortable with. Good luck with it! xx

I love this picture Kel …she is a beautiful girl.
I had one happy to eat and one who totally refused. I know which one I’d rather

Thanks for linking up to WW.

    • Kel says:

Thanks Trish! Yes, I really do hope her appetite continues. Much greater harmony in the house at meal times when that’s the case! 🙂

  12. Nathalie says:

    Absolutely precious photo

  13. Emma says:

So cute! She’s eyeing off those peas like I eye off chocolate 🙂
