REGULAR readers will already know I had my hair done on Saturday. After my hairdresser styled it, I kept that look for three LONG days. That’s right, I didn’t wash it. You can only imagine what’s been breeding in there.

So yesterday morning I treated my very-much-in-need-of-a-wash hair to the new Keratinology by Sunsilk range. I was sent through the Advanced Reconstruction Range and the Sun-Kissed Colour Therapy Range.

Keratinology by Sunsilk Sun-Kissed Colour Therapy Range

I started with the Keratinology by Sunsilk Sun-Kissed Colour Therapy, Colour Therapy Shampoo and Express Treatment Conditioner. It was followed by five minutes of the Keratinology by Sunsilk Sun-Kissed Colour Therapy Glossy Mask. And before you scold me about being in the shower too long (like someone else I know), it rained all day yesterday so there’s plenty of water in the dams. The entire day I felt like flicking my hair about as if I was in a shampoo commercial, because of how soft it felt.

hair

Last night, before bed, I popped on some of the Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction Program Overnight Treatment. I must admit, I only tried it in the ends of my hair because I was concerned I’d wake up greasy. However, it couldn’t be further from the truth. My hair this morning is soft and silky and has no evidence of product residue. Last night it even melted into my skin as if I was putting on a gentle moisturiser. Although, I do wonder how it performs on more oily hair.

Packaged in stylish light brown and black bottles, each product has a pretty, sweet smell, but is by no means overbearing. The collection uses advanced Keratin Micro Technology to address the common damage symptoms from repeated bleaching, colouring or ironing and to prolong that salon look. Obviously what I’m after, if I’m not washing my hair for three days! I’ll be interested now to see the effects long term.

Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction Program Range

Getting my hair done is my idea of bliss. I only wish I could be at the Keratinology by Sunsilk, in association with marie claire, pop-up salon in Sydney this week. Imagine a pampering wash and blow dry, the ENTIRE Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction Range, the latest issue of marie claire and… champagne for a mere $20. The lot is valued at $90.

My hair has been coloured and bottom half is like straw, top of head oily. Now my old shampoo is giving me dandruff. HELP!

    • Miss Pink says:

Becci, when you shampoo your hair just shampoo the roots and when you’re rinsing the shampoo out it will wash the ends.
Also when you condition, just condition the length of your hair, not the roots, the steam of the shower and heat from your scalp will pull the conditioner up, but you won’t get a full treatment meaning your hair should still be soft, but won’t be as oily.
      🙂

  20. In last Friday’s post I wrote about the trauma of admitting I’m finally going grey. In addition, to figuring out how to mange that colourwise, I could do with a good cut and pampering. The post-preggie hair regrowth is kicking in and the rest needs some good TLC. These products sound worth a try. By the way, I love your hair colour. Do you have highlights, and what colour are they?

    • Kel says:

Thanks Veronica. Yes, I have caramel foils. Usually I have a few red ones thrown in, but decided on a change this time. There’s a bit of red in the base colour instead.
I also usually have the foils really fine, but have been a little more bold this time. This is me living on the edge! LOL! x

  21. Di says:

I’ll admit that I’m a former Pantene customer but switched brands because my hair did feel heavy. I’m delighted they’ve listened to customer feedback and have produced a lighter version! My reliance on blowdrying and the GHD means my hair is looking tired – reconstruction could be the holiday it needs! 🙂

  22. Diana says:

To give it a healthy boost before the heat of summer kicks in and strips it of all it’s goodness.

  23. DIANA O. says:

To put back the goodness that’s removed each and every day by making it look great…..blow drying, straightening, and all the balms, serums and sprays. They take their toll.

  24. Ernie says:

Because my wife says if I’m going to have my hair long, then I have to look after it or cut it off. Apparently reconstruction will be the key to keeping my long locks.

  25. Caroline says:

With limp and lifeless hair that has been repeatedly coloured and has split ends, reality has set in, and my hair lustre has checked out.
