LAST night The Bloke in The Shed and I hosted the Carols in the Blogger Domain Party here on the blog and it was an absolute hoot. Thank you to all those who took part.

You can click on the post to see the transcript of the night. But beware: it gets a little rowdier as the night wears on. I think after Michael Buble was on, we all went a little giddy in the head. There also may, or may not, have been a photo that made one attendee respond with an “oh my’’.

We’re looking at hosting some regular events throughout the year, so if you have suggestions on online parties you’d like to be part of, let us know. Australia Day, maybe? In the meantime, it’s time to win some goodies before Christmas arrives.

If you’re a blogger or business wanting to take part in the Aussie Giveaway Linkup:

  1. Only link directly to the giveaway post/s and include the prize and end date in the linky tool below. Link each giveaway separately. If you need to delete it, hover over your link, wait until the red “x’’ appears and click.
  2. Giveaways must be open to Australian residents.
  3. Grab the button to add to your post.
  4. A new list is added each Sunday so bloggers need to add their links weekly.

What a great idea. Weren’t the Carols amazing. And I’m so relieved it didn’t rain. Love taking my kids to the Carols.

  2. Kate Sins says:

Oh, what a fabulous idea… I’d kinda heard that you were doing something but didn’t quite understand it *hitting forehead*… Would love to join in if you’re doing more throughout the year!

    • Kel says:

Hehe!! Not a problem, Kate. I think it sounded a lot more complicated – and scary – than it actually was. It’s kind of like Twitter, but without @s and #s! Will definitely let you know about the next one, for sure. x

  3. Sounds like it was a great night!!

    • Kel says:

Certainly was, Kate. It was kind of like going to the Carols with a bunch of good friends, without actually having to leave the couch! 😉

I’ve gotta check out how you have a party on your blog, Kel. You are always doing such fresh and random things. I bet twitter is involved… yes? Off to check it out.

Merry Christmas to you all!! See you in the new year! x

    • Kel says:

Aww, thank you. Trying to think outside the box as much as possible!
The LiveChat format sounds so much more complicated than it actually is, Bron. It’s pretty straight forward and easy to use (well, for people taking part, anyway. My fingers, on the other hand, were working overtime!). And no, nothing to do with Twitter! Yay! Although, I did link my Twitter feed to it, without realising. So a few tweets went up!
It kind of runs like Twitter, but you don’t have to worry about @s and #s. So much easier for people to use. 🙂

  5. you guys went on til past 11.>? you party animals.. I had so much fun joining in!! thanks for doing it Kel xx

    • Kel says:

I know! Crazy! Not sure why Carols went so late, but we stuck it out!
So glad you enjoyed yourself, Sarah. Loved having you part of it too. x
