pinata 5The pinata before it was finished…

Sometimes the girls play this game of “face paintings’’, where they use their finger to “draw’’ on each other’s faces. They paint butterflies, rainbows, puppy dogs, a Dualis Ti… Don’t ask!

Anyway… while trying to build a Wizard of Oz piñata for Ella’s birthday party, which was yesterday, the girls got bored and went off to play together. I sang out to ask what they were doing and they responded with:
Ella: “We’re face painting, Mum.’’
Holly: “Face paint.’’
Me: “OK girls, that’s fine.”

Ten minutes later, when I figure I’d best check on them, here they are with pen all over each other’s faces. It’s fair to say there’s not a lot of eye makeup remover left in the bottle.

Have your children done this before? Or given themselves pen tattoos?

PS. A tutorial of the pinata is coming…

OK, enough of the losses and now onto some wins.

  1. Oh my gosh! I can just imagine the look on your face seeing the girls! Thank goodness we haven’t had pen yet, but Miss C often pretends to face paint with the water brush from the magic painting books and will paint Miss S’s face too. Thank goodness there is no colour!

  2. My little girls draw on themselves and each other ALL the time. If I don’t get them out of the house early enough they go to daycare looking like a circus sideshow.

You made the Pinata, that is fantastic. I will be looking forward to seeing how its done.

Oh dear, well let’s just say your kids could be future makeup artists. It is a fine line fostering the creative spirit sometimes. Almay makeup remover wipes – are the best. I am giving some away in my final day of giveaways, lol.

Thanks for allowing me to be part of your weekly link ups too – such a great network.

And a big Happy birthday for Miss Ella too and I hope the birthday party was a big success.

oh no – Yes, they love the permanent textas and they did it once right as we going out – and got the shirts too.
They draw on each other too. I have a great post where I caught them – and it was everywhere lol – but thank goodness wiped off the bed furniture.

    • Kel says:

OH NO, Trish!! Permanent textas are never good!!!!
I’m going to have to hunt out that post I think. Sounds like it would cause a few giggles!! 🙂
