This week I’m grateful for:
- Being an extremely patient person. Just listen to this conversation. Ella: “Can we go to that place again?’’ Me: “What place?’’ Ella: “You know.’’ Me: “No darling, I don’t.’’ Ella: “Well, either do I.’’ Who knows!
- Having the luxury of staying home to watch Baby Holly as she begins to learn to crawl. OK, so it’s more like a backwards scoot, but she’s getting there.
- The Bloke in The Shed regularly posting on this blog. It’s a way to find out what’s going on in that head of his, including Be careful what you ask for. Yes, he’s ratting on me again.
I’m joining with Maxabella Loves to share what I’m grateful for.
Oh, I could have done with more patience today…. I took the twins on a little bushwalk which turned out to be a very long one as we stopped to ‘fish’ in every pond… whilst I knew we needed to collect hubs off the bus and just couldn’t get into the fishing. Sigh… will be more patient… tomorrow!
LOL!! Oh dear, Seana. Sounds like a real adventure! Good luck with tomorrow!! hehe!! 🙂
Hey Lovely Kellie,
Beautiful grateful post. Baby Holly is adorable 🙂 Been a bit lax with the comments as I’ve been moving myself over to WordPress. Nice to be back again. Got any good tips for me? Have a fabulous weekend. Cazxx
Hey Caz, Long time, no … type!! 😉
So glad to hear you’ve moved to WP. That’s fantastic! I’m not biased or anything, but I think it’s the best! hehe! I have a post from the other day called 15 Steps To Building A Mummy Website that might help! I say “might”! Looking forward to checking out the new site! xx
ha! what a little cutie…thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Lauren! 🙂
Some days I have the patience of a saint. Most days…not so much.
Good for you. 😉 x
LOL!! Well, I’d like to think I’m ALWAYS patient. But yes, I’m probably not that much anymore! This week has been a good one for me though – despite lack of sleep and children with runny noses and chesty coughs!! 😉
What a gorgeous little face greeting us in this post! Patience…hmmm, I am learning, it is not a strong point for me at all…
Gill xo
Thanks Gill.
It used to be one thing I prided myself on. Since children, it’s been a major challenge! I still have a long way to go…. 😉
Your little Ella sounds like she’s got some spirit! And Baby Holly what a cutie!! Children, couldn’t think of a more rewarding way to develop patience. Enjoy xo
Thanks Bec. Yes, it’s so true – it is a rather rewarding way to develop this virtue! 🙂
Oh yes, patience is something i had before, during & after babies. Now it’s a whole new level of patience with teenagers, they revert to toddlers only they can’t get out of bed & stop talking. Love Posie
Oh dear, don’t tell me that, Posie!! LOL!! Something to look forward to then? 😉
Lol! I love the cryptic talk which we are supposed to know :). Great grateful post 🙂
If only I had even a small incling as to where exactly she was talking about!!! We will never know! hehe! 😉
Further to Kellie’s comment, this was a convo between Ella and I after we could only find one of her kiddie gardening gloves today _
Ella: Did you find my other glove daddy?
Me: No darlin, I looked everywhere.
Ella: You looked everywhere?
Me: Yes, but I couldn’t find it.
Ella: So where did you find it?
Me: I told you, I cou;dn’t find it.
Ella: Yes, but where did you find it?
Me: Ella, I DID NOT FIND IT!
Ella: Dad, are you listening to me?
Me: Yes Ella ….. go find your mother.
Bwuhahahahahha! 😛 When you know nothing in this world is going to save you from those charges, “Go look for you mother!” 😀 Gosh, typical father I must say!
Yes, that line gets used quite a bit in this house, Khush! 🙂
I need to work on my patience….deep breaths!
If the deep breathing doesn’t work, Jodi, try banging your head against a wall. That works too!! LOL! 😉
What a gorgeous little darling Miss Holly is! I also love having the luxury to stay home and watch my little people grow.
We are so very fortunate, Carlene. Once this time is gone, we can’t get it back. And besides, nothing else compares to watching their “firsts”.
That’s a gorgeous picture of your little one. You remind me of what joy a baby can bring. Don’t worry I’m not getting clucky. I’ve done my dash.
Have a lovely weekend!
Oh, come on now, Shelly. Why not one more? hehe!! 😉
I am certainly enjoying this phase of their lives though and can’t wait to see what’s to come! xx
lovely post!
Thanks!! 🙂
Ah yes, I had no patience at all when I had no children, now I have 2.. oh goodness, it is something being a parent teaches you thats for sure. Well done baby Holly for her version of crawling 🙂
Ah, now there’s a post idea, Nellbe. All the things parenthood has taught us. It could be a long, long post!!! hehe!! 🙂
Gorgeous grateful love that pic of baby Holly.
Thanks Trish. She is rather cute (and I’m not biased, of course!!) 🙂
OH MY GOSH! Shes so damn cute!
I can’t believe I am just 18 and I still enjoy your mommy blogs! 😛
They are funny and cute.
And ‘patience’ my mom has in abundance! All moms do actually, but I always wonder if I am ever going to be that patient with my kids or just going to snap at them when they ask me “can we go to that place again mom?” 😛 or “where’s my sock!”
I would love if you read my blogs at http://www.myendlessthinkingprocess.blogspot.com 😀
Especially ‘Mommy-pie’ and ‘Lady mama better than Gaga ;)’,
You may get to read and know even the other side of the coin! haha!
Takecare and sorry for this lengthy long comment! 😛
Wow, that’s so nice to hear, Khush. Thank you. I think we all wondered at some point whether we could be patient enough to be parents, but it’s amazing what you can achieve when you have to! Make sure you tell that mum of yours how much you appreciate her!!!! 😉
Looking forward to reading your blog. 🙂
She’s just lovely! I know what you mean about patience – I need oodles and oodles of it and unfortunately can usually only conjure up one lot of oodles!
I’ll be reading The Bloke In The Shed’s latest installment later. x
LOL!! Yes, some days I think I need an emergency supply of patience that I can whip out of the cupboard when I’ve reached breaking point!! 😉
