This week I’m grateful for:
- Guest posting on Tina Gray {Dot} Me with a letter to my 16-year-old self yesterday. It was a post inspired by a letter Wildlife Warrior Terri Irwin wrote in the Australian Women’s Weekly. Tina was one of the first Aussie bloggers I stumbled across when I first discovered the mummy blogosphere. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was that on the day I had the chance to guest post for her, I was also blessed to meet her in real life.
- So, that brings me to my next point: Baby Holly and I meeting Mrs Marsh (remember the Colgate lady?) and bloggers at a Colgate bloggers brunch in Sydney yesterday. Surprisingly, these bloggers weren’t hairy, middle aged men posing as women. They were real mums. With real stories to tell. Due to time constraints (just imagine a room full of women all talking kids’ teeth, Twitter and blogging), I only gave an abridged version of my talk on how to grow your blog through building trust with your readers. However, my full notes are coming. Stay tuned…
- Lastly I was fortunate enough to stay with the incredibly inspiring Louisa from Everything Is Edible and Veronica from Sleepless Nights in the sublime Fraser Suites overlooking a stunning view of Sydney (even despite the city experiencing its wettest three days in 60 years). There’ll be more on all that later. However, the real highlight was coming home to Princess Ella and The Bloke in the Shed. Oh, how I missed them. They even had a welcome home box of Cadbury chocolates and a card for me. Although, when I asked three-year-old Ella: “did you miss mummy?’’ she replied with a rather frank: “No.’’. Then laughed a very wicked laugh.
I’m joining with Baby Mac to share what I’m grateful for.
