This week I’m grateful for:
- Tissues. Since Princess Ella learnt she would be starting pre-kindy later this year, she’s been obsessed with asking if they’ll have tissues. Despite reassuring her that, yes, the school has tissues, she would reignite the conversation every couple of weeks. Finally, on Tuesday, we had our interview with the principal and she got to sit and chat with the teacher. After leaving her in the room with the teacher while we toured the school, we returned to find her with a tissue in her hand. The teacher responded with: “She said she was a bit snuffly and needed a tissue.’’
- Publicity. My Working with PR post got picked up by PRNewswire this week. Sorry, just had to share.
- A healthy future. We don’t often listen to the radio, but coming home from childcare the other night we caught the song Marry You by Bruno Mars. Ella piped up with: “I’m going to marry Jack (not his real name).’’ Surprised, at her choice in childcare friends, I asked her if they would be living together. “Yes,’’ she said, cheerfully. “And who will do the cooking?’’ I asked. “Me’’, she said. “And what will you cook?’’ “Soup and vegetables,’’ was her response. Well, at least they’ll be eating healthy.
I’m joining with Maxabella Loves to share what I’m grateful for.
LOVE that dress
How cute is it, Fiona? I’m actually giving away a $50 voucher to the WAHM business that sells them at the moment!! 🙂
Lots to be grateful for this week. I’ve also been grateful for tissues as I’ve needed quite a few, snuffles and sniffles. Tell you what, I’ll be grateful if my two five year olds sleep through the night tonight. They’ve woken us up a few nights in a row and I’m too old for it!
Oh Seana, I’d be grateful for a nine-month-old sleeping through the night too. Just once would be lovely.
I hope the snuffles and sniffles leave you alone soon. Never much fun!! xx
The tissue story is a charmer. Don’t you love it how they fixate on random thing as a way of coping and controlling their worlds.
Congrats on the PR post. I’m off to read it! x
Hehe!! It makes you wonder what goes on in those little brains of theirs! 🙂
So cute!! Sure, love the tissues now, we pay a premium tissue levy at school here in Canberra, every child in the class gets billed for a box of tissues in the book pack, so i’m guessing there are say 22 students = 22 boxes of tissues in their classes?? My husband pointed out two cows playing piggiebacks recently on a car trip & i asked my son what that meant (he’s our youngest, 7) & he said “i know, marriage”. Tee hee, all his sisters giggled, love Posie
Really? That’s extreme, Posie. I’ve never heard of a tissue levy. Goodness, I hope Ella’s school doesn’t have the same or it could cost us a fortune!! LOL!
Love the piggieback story. Too cute!! 🙂
Soup and Veggies. She must have very good role models 🙂
Or that’s what they eat at childcare!!! LOL! 😉
Love that she chose something beautiful and healthy…how cute!
Congrats on your PR post, Well Done!
Thanks Carlene. Yes, at least it wasn’t ice cream and chocolate! 😉
