This week I’m grateful for:
- Underpants. Thankfully, Ella had knickers on at dancing this week. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, may I suggest you read When life goes bottoms up. Good if you like to have a giggle at someone else’s expense!
- Toothy pegs finally breaking through. Baby Holly popped her first tooth this week… and her second. There’s no point doing things in halves!
- My first paid PR job, including “Skype meeting’’. The wonderful Kat Cho from Deals for Mum gave me my first (unexpected) PR job this week. And my business isn’t even set up yet! I spent ages doing my hair, makeup, dressing nicely (well, from the waist up) and even sprayed on a bit of perfume to hide the baby spew smell (just in case you can smell someone while Skyping them! Cue: hubby rolling his eyes).
- Most importantly, the fact that when sleep deprivation has been all too much (due to No. 2), there’s always been something to make me giggle (see No. 1) and smile (see No. 3). I love my life!
Tell us, what are you grateful for this week?
I’m joining with Maxabella Loves to share what I’m grateful for.
Yeah for all the great things that have come your way this week.
I hope that there’s lots more smiles like the one in the photo as the teeth continue to make their appearance.
x Felicity
Thanks, Felicity. Been a wonderful week, which makes the tiredness much more bearable! 🙂
I should do my hair, make up, dress nicely and spray on a bit of perfume for my skype calls to mum. At least I’d feel dressed up and pretty for a change, rather than the trackies and tunic top I normally wear to hide mummy belly…
I think I need to remind myself that I’m worth it!
Definitely, Karen. It’s amazing how much better you feel after doing it! And yes, we are certainly worth it!! 🙂
Is he SURE you can’t smell someone over Skype???
Well done on getting a PR job straight away, that must feel amazing! x
Thanks, Maxabella. Was a pretty incredible week, even if they were only small milestones.
And yes, I’m sure I could see her sniffing, followed by a look of “hmm, something smells nice”!! LOL! 🙂
Loving having discovered your Grateful For… Such a wonderful idea at the end of a mummy-filled week!
Love your Skype efforts, you could always blame pixelation for any make up or hair mishaps!! Giggles at the perfume too. From a fellow mummy of lots of little girls (& one boy), love Posie
Glad I could make you giggle, Posie! I like the idea of blaming pixelation. Maybe that was what all those lines around my eyes were from!! LOL! 🙂
Husband informed me this morning that I had a Skype call at 12:30am. From someone I didn’t know. Who are these people? Glad your skype experience was far better!
Oooh, that could have been interesting – me at 12.30am is not a pretty sight! LOL! Takes drunk dialling to a whole new level, doesn’t it?
congrats on your new job! i can’t believe interviews are being done through skype, wow, i am a bit behind with the times.
yay for all your gratefuls this week & here’s to no more baby spew smells ♥
Cute!!
I used to do that for skype chats.. But then ended up getting up to the kids and.. The trakkies still showed..
Great list!!
Thanks, Kasia.
hehe!! Yes, I can see how my efforts for Skype might go down hill pretty quickly!! 🙂
Thanks Kel, always nice to be mentioned in the same breath as “underpants”! The perfume didn’t quite make it over the Tasman, but the hair and makeup didn’t go unnoticed! Cheers, Kat 🙂
hehe!! Thanks Kat. Really great working with you and all the best with the new venture. 🙂
I’m looking for the “like” button on that comment.
I’m grateful that Erin still wants me to stay at school with her even though what I really want to do is run home and sleep.
Awww! Beautiful, Bec. It makes you feel so wanted and loved, doesn’t it?
