IT’S Aussie Giveaway Linkup time already. I know. Where did the week go? This week I thought I’d share five tips for a good product review.
- Write a balanced review. Remember, most reviews will include some degree of constructive criticism. Very few things in this world are perfect, so there is always room for improvement. It not only increases the believability of your review, but it also builds credibility for you as a reviewer.
- Provide a thorough description of the product – size, price, features, targeted audience, colour range, stockists etc.
- Be personable. People want to hear what you think and how it was applied to your life. They don’t want to read what was in the press release. They also want to hear “your voice’’, so don’t change your usual writing style.
- Use a photo to illustrate the product. People like to see what they’re getting and especially if the photos is of you (or your kids) using it.
- Disclose what you received for doing the review – product, money, airfares to BlogHer (OK, that was someone else, not me!).
