This week I’m grateful for:
- Cleaning out the desktop folder and finding this half written blog post – Ella: “Is it tomorrow today?’’ Me: “No, it’s tomorrow tomorrow. It’s today today. But when tomorrow comes, it’ll be today again.’’ Long silence… Then: “oh’’.
- And another: After cooking one piece of toast too many for Princess Ella, The Bloke in The Shed offers the other to me, knowing I’m always hungry (breastfeeding is sucking me dry!). He asks what I’d like on it. ‘’Marmalade jam, please,’’ I say. He heads to the fridge and a few seconds later I hear: “Is that the same as apricot conserve?’’ Me: ‘’Ah, no. That would be apricot.’’ He raises his eyebrows. Then the penny drops. “Yeah, right.’’ And who’s got baby brain?
- Lastly, on a serious note, tomorrow I have a super hot date with a beautician and some facial, pedicure and manicure tools. That’s right, no children. I can’t even begin to imagine what that will be like. So, my only question is: “is it tomorrow today?’’ If not, HURRY UP TOMORROW! (PS. I’m using a voucher I got for Mother’s Day – yes, Mother’s Day – that had already gone past its expiry date. Thankfully the fabulous salon owner is happy to accept my voucher anyway!).
I’m joining with Maxabella Loves ‘ grateful for, which is this week being hosted by the lovely Brenda from Mira Narnie.

Kids can ask the toughest questions – and expose the absurd in life too.
Enjoy your ‘date’ – hard earned & well deserved.
I’m glad I’m not the only one – I used a voucher for a snazzy cosmetic store this week – 11 and a half months after receiving it!
🙂
Oh wow, 11 and a half months! Mind you, I’ve done that plenty of times too!! Hehe!! 🙂
Hope you enjoyed your pampering today – ooh la la! I’ve got a good excuse in a few weeks to have a bit of pampering myself. xx

Good on that salon owner for not worrying about the expiry date. Hope you were beautified gorgeously and had some total relaxation.
A whole three hours of relaxation, Seana. And it was fabulous! x
I so would be grateful for a day at a day spa! Without children 🙂 How lucky that the owner is honouring the voucher and you are going to have a pedicure and manicure….very lucky!
Cheers
Lisa
It was a wonderful morning, Lisa. We really need to try and make ourselves take time out like this more often. I felt so much better for it. x
