WHEN people look at Ella they can’t figure out who she looks most like. There has been rumours she may be the mailman’s. But shhh, let’s keep that to ourselves.

However, when they look at Baby Holly there’s no mistaking she’s her father’s daughter. Apart from two things. One is a cute dimple in her chin, passed on from my Pop, to my Dad, then me and now Baby Holly. Then there’s the second thing. Here, take a look:

    Long luscious lashes.

AFTER last week’s Wordless Wednesday revealed a photo of Princess Ella and a photo of me “walking the plank”, but taken 30-odd years apart, my Mum started sending through photos of herself at the same age.

What Mum’s photos uncovered is how much we tend to take the same pictures generation after generation. To prove the point, here’s a photo of Mum and Ella dressed as fairies. We won’t reveal how many years apart these two pix were taken.

The little poser – Fairy Princess Ella!
    Mum, looking slightly bewildered!

HISTORY repeats. I know this to be true, because after downloading a host of photos the other day, I stumbled across this photo of Ella “walking the plank”.

Ella, a couple of weeks ago.

Which looked uncannily like this photo.

    Me, kindergarten 1982

This is me “walking the plank”. Kinder, 1982. A photo to place on the front of a Christmas card addressed to my Mum.

PHOTOS: What big teeth you have

DURING our trip to the Melbourne Aquarium a fortnight ago, Ella became fascinated with these shark teeth. And, as you can tell by the photo, she clearly wasn’t frightened of them.

    Unprompted, she did this pose.

    Can you see my teeth?

    Come a little closer…

    Scary.

There’s still time to enter to win two nights in a one-bedroom Medina Apartment (valued at $1000).

ONE afternoon, our cheeky monkey – Princess Ella – had a little too much fun bouncing on our bed. All the while singing: “one cheeky monkey bouncing on the bed…”

Oops, chopped off her head. Actually, isn’t that the words to another nursery rhyme?

WHAT I’ve learnt from having two princesses is that: girls will be girls. And when you’re not a princess…. you’re a fairy!

    Preferably a dancing one!
