Baby Holly: ``Da-Da DAAADDDD.''

This week I’m grateful for:

  • Dora the Explorer toothpaste. When I ran out of toothpaste this week, I was ever so grateful to look into the cupboard and see Dora flashing her pearly whites back at me. Ahh, fresh, bubble gum breath.
  • The first week of The Bloke in The Shed’s new job as Editor of The Advocate Newspaper now behind him. It’s been a tough one for him and two little girls who didn’t get to have their dinner with him each night. That’s not to say there won’t be more weeks like this, but it’s nice to have this one out of the way.
  • A sanitary pad in the middle of my copy of Madison magazine. Ella spilt her water all over the dining room table – including my copy of Madison – during dinner the other night. I hadn’t even had a chance to read it. However, when I picked it up, I noticed only the back half (the side facing down) was drenched. The front half had been saved by the sanitary pad. At least it was put to good use.

I’m joining with  Maxabella Loves to share what I’m grateful for.

I had to come back and leave another comment when I realise that The Advocate you were talking about is the Devonport one…. my hometown!!!! Yay! I live in Melbs now but all our family is still there. Congrats on the job.

Really? Wow! Always so nice to “run into” Taswegians around the blogosphere and even more exciting when they’re from your hometown. And will certainly pass on the congrats to The Bloke in The Shed too! 🙂

    • Kel says:

You’ve got to love a bit of Dora! hehe! Glad we’ve got two girls, otherwise we’d probably have to buy a different toothpaste for each member of the family! 😉

  8. Fantastic save from the Sanitary Pad. You should write to Madison mag with that story! Gill xo

    • Kel says:

Hehe!! Too true, Gill. I did give them a bit of a tweet today, so it’ll be interesting to see if they pick it up. Might have to go and write a letter to the editor though!! 😉

  9. They make great puffy stickers too – I’ve been told!
    🙂

  10. Ah, bubblegum breath. Nice. I never told my kids that they could get toothpaste in any flavour other than mint, just in case I had to use their toothpaste supplies. 🙂

First week on the job is tough for everyone. I hope that you quickly settle into a routine that means more family time in the evenings.

    • Kel says:

Thanks Susan. We’re looking forward to a slower pace this week. It’s been a relaxing weekend so far, anyway.
And on the bubblegum breath… it’s funny, but the toothpaste says “sparkly mint”. I’m guessing the “sparkly” bit is the sweet taste!! hehe!! Must admit, it did bring back memories from my childhood. But it’s back to the regular ol’ Colgate today! 🙂

  11. yaga says:

ahaha how funny the world sometimes is! I just giggled out loud when I imagined you picking up that magazine… :o)))
hope you will all be enjoying your weekend after that tough week and have some quality time together!

    • Kel says:

So glad it gave you a giggle too!! hehe! 😉

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! That made me laugh. I wondered how on earth a gal of our age could be grateful for pads of all things (except maybe post-birth?) but now I see clearly that they have their uses! Thanks for the smile. x

  20. Haha! You crack me up Kel! We have Dora but she doesn’t like the bubblegum taste! She likes the pearly whites of the Wiggles toothpaste! 🙂
